SMS/MMS Notifications
SMS/MMS notifictions will only be sent to you if you indicate your desire to have these sent to you via one of our online forms or if you've provided this consent verbally or in written form. We will not send unsolicited messages to your mobile number.

We respect the privacy of our customers and are committed to safeguarding their personal information. We will never sell, lease, rent, or otherwise disclose your mobile number to any third parties, unless required by law or explicitly consented by you. Your mobile number will exclusively be used for the purposes for which you provided it and have given consent.

Any messages sent or received through our platform may be subject to standard messaging fees or data rates charged by your mobile carrier. These rates are not determined or controlled by us. Following your opt-in, SMS/MMS messages that will be sent to you include updates and reminders related your account such as updates and reminders related to appointments, invoices, quotes, and surveys.

Security
All information that you enter into our website is encrypted and secured via a 2048-bit SSL certificate. This means that when you visit our website, you'll notice that the web address is always preceeded by 'HTTPS'. Some browsers will also show a lock symbol in the address bar to indicate that the site is protected with a valid SSL certificate.

When it comes to digital security, our website was built with industry best practices and is monitored and maintained by a third party who ensures that relevent software patches are applied in a timely manner.

Payment Card Processing
All payment card transactions that originate from this site are processed by Stripe. As a matter of PCI DSS compliance (Payment Card Industry Data Security Standard), Ecovert Recycling does store critical details of your payment card number on its servers. The information that is stored on our servers that pertains to your payment card includes the brand of your payment card, the last 4 digits of your payment card number, and the expiration month/year of your payment card.

Terms & Conditions

The terms and conditions apply to those who have received a quotation from us, have paid for service, and/or have received service from us.

General

1) All fragile items must be secured or removed from the premises prior to junk removal.

2) If you will not be home at the time of service, you must provide us with instructions on how we can gain access to your property.

Pricing

1) We reserve the right to amend any estimates that have been provided by our service advisors or booking form. In the case of amendment, you will be notified before service is rendered.

2) All pickups will be based on an initial service fee plus any additional fees as noted.

Payments

1) Unless provided prior to service, payment will be requested on the day of the service.

2) Payment is accepted in the form of cash and credit card.

Promotions

1) Any coupons used on initial booking will not be applied to future appointments.

Complaints and Claims

1) In case of a complaint or claim, we must be notified within 24 hours after completion of the service.

2) Complaints are accepted over the phone and in writing (letter, email or fax).

3) We strive to ensure that each of our clients is satisfied with the value that they've received from our company. Upon receiving a complaint or claim, we will review the situation and work with the client to establish a mutually agreed upon resolution.

Cancellations

1) Cancellations or adjustments can be done up until the 8AM of the designated appointment day.

3) In the event that our staff members are not able to gain access to the property to perform the server (i.e. keys don't work, turned away, etc.), the client is required to pay the full price of the service.

Ownership and dealing with items

1) By placing items for collection with us, you acknowledge and agree that:

you own such items or have the legal right to deal with such items in accordance with these Terms; and

we act as your agents for the handling and disposal of such items. We do not take ownership or responsibility of such items.

2) Data stored on electronic devices should be erased. We will not be responsible or assume any liability if any data is recovered from electronic devices that have been collected and disposed of through the RecycleSmart Services.

3) Non-waste items, such as furniture, appliances or clothing, must be clearly labelled to indicate their intended collection or disposal. We disclaim any responsibility in the event that we mistakenly collect an item that was not intended for collection which was not clearly labelled.

4) We reserve the right to refuse the collection of hazardous materials or items that pose a risk to the environment, public health, or safety. You must adhere to Applicable Laws regarding the proper disposal of hazardous materials and make alternative arrangements for their collection and disposal.

5) You acknowledge and agree that once we have collected an item, we cannot locate, recover or return such items to you.

6) We reserve the right to convert, dispose, resell or process the items once collected and to collect payments for such (including rebates paid by recyclers). You acknowledge and agree that you have no right to such payments and irrevocably consent to us collecting such payments.

Service

One Time Pickup

One time pickup of your items to be reused/recycled. Pickup fee of $10 will be charged at booking and an email invoice will be sent after pickup with additional costs based on volume/type of materials picked up. Pricing for one time pickups can be viewed in the "Pricing" tab.

For one time pickups you can use your own bags/boxes. We will leave any reusable bags behind and recycle any plastic bags. Or you can purchase our Ecovert Recycling Bin from our shop if you would like to continuously do one time pickups whenever you fill it up if our monthly pick ups don't work for you.

Please leave items that you don't want picked up separate from the pickup pile. We don't want to accidentally pick up something we aren't supposed to!
